Nice hotel located in the city centre of St. Ives. Nice room, comfortable bed stunning view over St. Ives bay.
There is nog much parking space.
very friendly welcome, all staff very polite and friendly room was absolutely brill will definitely come back
Excellent location, proximity to town and beach, wonderful views from room, great food, courteous staff and safe off road parking.
Room rather small, bathroom small and somewhat dark and unfortunately bathroom smelly (reported to reception)
Excellent location, very friendly staff willing to accommodate requests. Food was delicious and there was alot of variety with breakfast. Very comfortable beds and nicely done bathrooms.
Had a street facing room which meant we could hear the street noise when trying to go to sleep or early in the morning. Not all the rooms had in built dvd players in the tv which was not great if travelling with a child. It would have been great if the hotel had a mini fridge in the room especially with children and keeping their snacks etc cool.
We liked the room, with a view of the beach, and over to St Ives. The meals which we had in the hotel were very good. The hotel was situated in a quiet location, but within walking distance of St Ives Town Centre.
We are both in our sixties, and we found it a struggle to get up and down to the beach, and the car when we needed it. Particular attention needs to be given to the serious problem of access to, and egress from, the car park. On several occasions, I had to reverse down the slope, to allow vehicles to pass, only to be met by other vehicles following. This created dangerous situations, not only for irate motorists, but more importantly, for pedestrians using the thoroughfare for access to the beach. This a major factor, and one which will dissuade us from booking again in the near future.
The staff was friendly and we had a little scratch to the car which wa dealt with efficiently .
aprking and finding the hotel was a little difficult
the staff were very helpful and attentive and the location is perfect
the website made the room we stayed look far better than the reality
Moden bedrooms and fantastic views
I loved the view from the hotel room and the restaurant. You could see the beach, St Ives harbour and the train. Staff were polite and the hotel was very comfortable.
Clean, friendly. Good location.
We were not warned it was, all beit temporarily, a building site until after we had made a confirmed booking. I guaranteed the room with an Amex credit card. This is when I should have been warned there would be a £5 charge for actually paying with the same card! I didn't pay with the card but if the hotal had been honest about either of the above facts I would not have made the booking. Therefore I feel somewhat conned. Purely personnal but the breakfast room was too warm,
The location was great close to town, and the new refurbished room, Spa & Pool were fantastic!! Staff were really friendly and very helpful
We ordered a light lunch in the afternoon which was very nice my husband has had Beef with Mustard and myself & my son had Tuna. The problem was that noticed my sandwich was cut with the same knive as there was mustard on my sandwich!! Simple mistake if you could just pass onto the kitchen. Many thanks
The hotel is excellent - we did like the friendly efficient staff and good clean and comfortable room. The view from the sea view room was superb.
The car parking situation is pretty grim - the porters are really full time valet parking staff and are dealing with the situation very very well. We dont envy them shunting around some of the larger vehicles. The parking did detract from an otherwise superb stay but due to this, we would have second thoughts about staying here again.
The location was excellent.
Building works/noise going on next to the hotel were annoying and we should have been made aware. We did get moved to another room which posed further problems with hotel noise and ventilation. We were compensated, so fair deal, but two days of our break were ruined. The duty manager did all he could to help.
Location and spa. Public rooms were quite splendid and view from dining room could not be bettered. Just a short walk to centre of town.
Car parking was off-site and non-vigilated, although the free shuttle taxi was available on demand. Our double room was rather small.
